About Me

My journey to the page began at nine years old. My mother brought me to Barnes & Nobles to pick out a birthday present. I chose a pink journal with a kitten on the cover secured with a little gold lock. I still have this journal and about forty more that line my bookshelves - all of them document my life and house some of my deepest fears, most profound discoveries, and life celebrations.

As an English teacher, I have always integrated journaling into my classroom. Students from preschool age through seniors in high school have fallen in love with the freedom that comes with expressing oneself. It wasn’t until much later in my life did I discover how beneficial journaling has been to my overall well-being and optimistic perspective. Journaling provides a welcome space to process thoughts as well as my ideas for the essays I write.

In 2019, while working on my master’s degree in creative nonfiction writing, I tried a few journaling workshops. I never knew there were others who facilitated the process of journaling! It was a total eye opening experience for me. Through various workshops, I discovered a deeper love for the art of journaling. Ultimately, I became a certified facilitator through Laura Rubin, renowned Allswell Creative founder and journaling guru.

I have made it my personal mission to enlighten others to the power of the pen as a tool for personal growth. The journal is a place to reflect, document, vent, goal set, celebrate, and dream. It is the least expensive therapist out there!

Now, it is my turn to help you unlock your inner wisdom and create a life you love, all through the transformative practice of putting pen to paper.
